Leo Yechuan Chen received a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. Starting in 2019, He worked two years at the University of California Irvine and two years at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory / Stanford University, respectively. His primary research focuses on carbon electrocatalysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray tomography.
In January 2023, Leo joined CMDIS and is now the surface analysis lab manager for X-ray characterization techniques and Auger electron microscopy. He also serves as the building coordinator for the Materials Research Center.
