Katharine Dovidenko

Katharine serves as a Director of the Nanoscale Characterization Core and provides strategic and operational leadership for the set of cMDIS characterization laboratories. She has over twenty years of experience in electron microscopy in particular, and materials development and characterization in general. Prior to joining RPI in January 2020, Katharine has led major research programs for over a decade at GE Global Research, and most recently worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific, one of the world's leading electron microscope manufacturers. 

Katharine holds Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University (Raleigh, NC) and M.S. in Solid State Physics from Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (Russia). She has 70+ peer-reviewed publications. https://scholar.google.com/
