Dr. Chao Yang, EM Lab Manager, oversees our TEM, Versa FIB-SEM, and the sample preparation labs. Chao got his Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from Dartmouth College and M.S. from Central South University. His research background includes thermal-mechanical processing, microstructural characterization of metallic materials, and related molecular dynamic simulations. He has about 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Chao also has experience in lab equipment/materials procurement and vendor qualification.
