We invite you to join the Center for Materials, Devices, and Integrated Systems (CMDIS) Facilities Open House on Wednesday, September 11th.
During the Open House, you (or your researchers) can visit the Micro and NanoFabrication Cleanroom (MNCR), Nanoscale Characterization Core (NCC), and Polymer Processing and/or Characterization Core (PPCC) to learn about tools, instrumentation capabilities, fabrication and characterization techniques and requirements. The facilities are multi-user, shared instrumentation laboratories and provide support for fundamental materials research up through integrated systems engineering applications. Join us to meet with our scientists and technical managers and to discuss how we can assist in elevating your research.
There will be five stations:
Micro and Nano Fabrication Clean Room (MNCR) - CII-4159
Kent Way, Interim Director of MNCR
Nanoscale Characterization Core (NCC) - Transmission Electron Microscope – MRC-166
Dr. Chao Yang, EM Laboratory Manager
Nanoscale Characterization Core (NCC) - Scanning Electron Microscope – MRC-151
Dr. Katharine Dovidenko, Director of NCC
Nanoscale Characterization Core (NCC) - Surface Characterization Lab (XPS/XRD) – MRC-148
Dr. Leo Yechuan Chen, Surface Characterization Lab Manager
Polymer Processing and Characterization Core (PPCC) - MRC-243b
Dr. Pascal Bassene, PPCC Lab Manager
Each session will take approximately 20 minutes. Please use the link below to sign up for tours, after submission, you will receive your schedule in an auto-generated email. https://webforms.rpi.edu/form/cmdis-open-house-registration-24
After the tours, we also invite you to BBQ to kick off the semester!
We’d appreciate it if you sign up by September 9th, please forward this invitation to new faculty, graduate students, researchers, or anyone interested.
We are looking forward to meeting you on September 11th!
