MNCR supports a LESA sponsored high school enrichment program

In July, the cleanroom provided process demonstrations and guided tours to several high school groups on campus participating in a program sponsored by the Light Enabled Systems & Applications (LESA) center.  This pre-college program is designed to engage and inspire pre-college students to consider further studies and careers in engineering and provide an understanding of basic engineering principles and skills.

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) outreach is vital to the nation’s development of future scientists, engineers and innovators.  As such, cMDIS supports multiple campus wide and intra-departmental community outreach activities.  These include hands-on activities and demonstrations as well as tours of the cleanroom promoting and expanding STEM experiences for the next generation.
