Center for Materials, Devices and Integrated Systems has participated in the 25th Annual Black Families Technology Awareness Day on February 3 with Kent Way (Interim Director of Micro and Nanofabrication Clean Room) and Dr. Chao Yang (EM Laboratory Manager at Nanoscale Characterization Core. The event is designed to introduce historically underrepresented students in grades K-12, their families, and educators to educational and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). As a part of the day, our team had demonstrations to 10 Grades 9-12 participants into the field of Nanotechnology.
